We are looking for an APC to focus on our inpatient panel and assist in surgery, though the position also has opportunities to see patients in clinic.

• Responsibilities will include inpatient management and rounding, assisting in surgery, post-op care, patient education, assisting with new consults, oversight of chemotherapy infusions, and management of side effects.
• The oncology center’s team of gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, oncology certified nurses, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, palliative providers, social workers, psychologist, dietitians, and research team members work together to incorporate the latest research and treatment options to create the best treatment plan for each patient.
• Presbyterian’s dynamic community program treats over 2,200 new patients each year.
• Our practice sees 14-30 clinic patients and on average 3-10 inpatients daily at present and is looking to grow. Our surgeons currently each operate approximately 2 days per week.
• One weekend of call per month, supported by a nurse triage team that filters patient calls.
• Our ideal candidate is a team-player, patient-focused, and willing to jump in and contribute to help our group to grow.

Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a full-time Clinical Psychologist with experience in testing and assessment to join our high-volume Bariatric program in at Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho.

You will work with the bariatric surgical team (surgeons, PAs, RNs) to help prepare patients for metabolic and bariatric surgery.  The bariatric program has a multi-disciplinary approach with integrated behavioral health providers physically located within the bariatric clinic.  The primary responsibility of this position is to perform the assessment of patients seeking metabolic surgery to ensure that they are prepared mentally and emotionally.  This includes assessment of current psychosocial situation, prior life experiences, cognitive understanding of the surgical plan, awareness of the required lifestyle changes required after surgery and the support/motivation to succeed.  Psychologists in the program also facilitate post-operative support groups for our patients.  There is also the opportunity to provide short-term therapy for our patients who may need it.
