  • 36 hours of direct patient care with dedicated administrative time. 4 day work week option

Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist- Albuquerque, New Mexico

Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system in New Mexico, is seeking an BE/BC Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology Physician to join our growing team of exceptional clinicians and staff in Albuquerque, NM.

 

Practice Highlights:

  • 4-5 cases per day
  • Management of all pediatric surgical cases (general, cardiac, ENT, GI, etc) along with cath lab cases ages 0-18
  • Support Staff: Anesthesia Tech in OR
  • Call Expectations: 1:3. No more than 10 days per month
  • Hours per day: standard 8-hour shift

 

What We’re Seeking:

  • Candidates must hold an M.D. degree or equivalent, successfully have completed a Pediatric Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship and must be ABA board certified.
  • Pediatric Anesthesiologists participate in the care of pediatric patients undergoing surgery or diagnostic testing
  • Pre-anesthesia evaluation of pediatric patients undergoing surgery, invasive procedure or diagnostic testing at Presbyterian Hospital
  • A minimum of three years of Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology experience with demonstrated proficiency in the anesthetic management of children and adults with congenital heart disease is required.

  • 60% Oncology / 40% Hematology

  • Call frequency: 10 days of call required per month
