Lincoln County Medical Center (LCMC) is a 25 bed, Critical Access Hospital located in Ruidoso, New Mexico providing general and acute healthcare services to the primary services areas of Lincoln and portions Otero County, including the Mescalero Apache Reservation. LCMC operates medical clinics in Ruidoso, Hondo, Carrizozo, Capitan and Corona and a sliding scale dental clinic in Carrizozo to increase access to healthcare for all of Lincoln County. LCMC offers specialty services often not found in a frontier environment, including obstetrical, cardiology, orthopedic and general surgery services. LCMC recently expanded its services to include hematology and oncology, to reduce our residents need to travel for these services. LCMC manages the operations of Lincoln County Emergency Medical Services (LCEMS), which provides emergency medical services for over 5,000 square miles throughout Lincoln County

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

*Maintains active or associate membership on PHS Medical Staff in good standing. Abides by all relevant obligations as set forth in the Rules and Regulations of PHS Medical
Staff Organization. Works in a collegial, facilitative manner with PHS physicians and all appropriate medical staff sections and departments.
*Performs professional clinical duties as the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner of record for patients as directed, according to accepted standards of professional
psychiatric practice. This includes collaboration and effective communication with nursing and ancillary staff, participation in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, and
thorough documentation in medical record.
*Active participation in initiatives to improve clinical and service quality as directed by program administration.
*Serves in a leadership role in regard to the care of own patients. With input from nursing and ancillary staff, directing the course of treatment and educating staff.
*Performs additional duties as directed.
