Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Practice Highlights
Summary:
Serves as an Advanced Practice Provider (APC) in the Sleep Medicine clinic. Provides direct patient care in clinic only.
Responsibilities:
*Delivers clinical care to patients in the Sleep Medicine practice.
*Supports mechanisms to gather and report quality measures.
*Participates in chart reviews and risk management reviews as needed.
*Assists administration with oversight and timely submission of sleep lab accreditation documentation.
*Works with Administration to ensure quality service.
*Assists with patient, staff and provider complaints as needed.
*Participates in the recruitment and retention of physicians, APCs, and staff who work in the practice.
*Takes corrective action when indicated with accountability and authority
*Works in a professional and collegial manner with colleagues in accordance with Presbyterian policies.
*Maintains professional growth and development through CME activity in Sleep Medicine-specific topics for a minimum of 30 hours for every 3-year review cycle.
*Performs other functions as required.
Other information:
Education: Masters Degree required.
NP or PA in clinical practice.
Additional training in Sleep Medicine preferred.
5+ years of practice preferred.
Current New Mexico License required.
Requires detailed knowledge of Sleep Medicine
Requires detailed knowledge of American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) clinical recommendations
Requires detailed knowledge of Sleep Medicine in terms of theories and practices and to serve as the resource or educator to other practitioners in the medical field.
Ability to effectively interact with customers to understand their needs and explain data
Written communication
Ability to work professionally and in a collegial manner with colleagues in accordance with Presbyterian policies.
Maintains professional growth and development through CME activity in Sleep Medicine-specific topics for a minimum of 30 hours for every 3-year review cycle.
Performs clinical duties and documentation in accordance with practice quality standards and AASM quality standards.
