Presbyterian Medical Group’s Gynecologic Oncology team seeks a Physician Assistant or surgically-trained Nurse Practitioner to join our growing group. We are looking for an APC to focus on our inpatient panel and assist in surgery, though the position also has opportunities to see patients in clinic.

Practice Highlights
Summary:
Provide advisory services to patients with oncology diseases requiring surgical interventions. Services include obtaining pertinent history, performing examinations, ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory tests and prescribing appropriate medications and treatment per protocol. Will take 1st call with physician back up and round on post-operative patients
Responsibilities:
*Evaluates and assesses patients for surgery and post-operatively as directed by the supervising physician.
*Use appropriate judgment to work autonomously and collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient care throughout the continuum in a variety of settings, namely, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology and Radiology.
*Conducts hospital rounds on assigned preoperative and post-operative patents.
*Dictates specific notes as directed by supervising physician (e.g. consultation notes, follow-up notes.
*Screens symptom calls and treats as needed
*Serves as health care resources and patient advocate and performs other functions as required.
